IT Services Coordinator & Trainer | North Idaho College

  • Management and recruitment/hiring of all technical support personnel.
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with all personnel to provide training, coordination, development, implementation, and administration of information technology projects within ITS.
  • Serve as a liaison between ITS and all departments to conduct research and analysis on various technologies to meet user needs and provide technology advice and training based on current trends within technology.
  • Redesigned the IT web site, portal documents, and SharePoint sites to ensure IT, faculty, staff, and students have access to the needed information to streamline training, instruction, employee, and student success.
  • Responsible for supporting all IVC teaching functions on campus. This includes training all faculty using IVC, scheduling all classes in the IVC system, and providing technical support to ensure a quality learning environment.
  • Initiated campus-wide Mac management plan by implementing an OS X server to support all Mac workstations and Apple devices to improve security and eliminate manual administration.

Computer Consultant & IT Trainer | UNC Charlotte
November 2002 – September 2011

  • Managed all IT operations, overseeing staff, projects, and infrastructure for approximately 150+ within the Biology Department and Research Facility.
  • Management and recruitment/hiring of all IT staff withing the department.
  • Served as liaison between the department and other divisions, personnel, and vendors for strategic planning, technical advising, training, and collaboration to support and streamline instructional, research, and operations at all levels.
  • Spearheaded the evaluation, development, budgeting, and implementation of all IT services and infrastructure with the building project team during the construction of the Biology Research Facility totaling over $250k.
  • Established processes and facilitated strategic IT planning and technology training for all faculty and staff.
  • Instituted department’s first IT asset management tracking for inventory and audits.
  • Served on the Faculty IT Services Advisory committee as well as departmental hiring committees.
